Description

Curve is a game-changing mobile wallet used by over 4 million people. It makes all your cards and accounts work better together as one single payment card, supercharging your money with cashback rewards, insights and financial control. You can even link your PayPal account to Curve and shop with PayPal in-store.

Earn Cashback Rewards

Earn up to 40% cashback from 100s of brands, including instant cashback every time you spend at household names like Primark, IKEA, Argos, Waterstones, and more. You can even earn cashback on top of any rewards you get with another card. Double rewards on a single transaction? Yup!

If you want cashback on all your essentials, you can earn an additional 1% cashback at up to 12 retailers of your choice when you upgrade. From Aldi and Lidl to Uber, Amazon, ASOS, Netflix, Apple and loads more – the upgrade can end up paying for itself, and then some!

Eliminate fees abroad without switching banks

Most banks and credit cards charge you around 3% to spend money abroad. That quickly adds up! But when you use the same cards via Curve, you will eliminate foreign transaction fees from your travels. That’s right, simply using your cards through the Curve mobile wallet can make those sneaky travel fees disappear. You can even use PayPal abroad without fees, including PayPal Credit.

*Fee-free limits vary according to subscription plan

A tiny time machine in your pocket

The only mobile wallet with an in-built time machine, Curve gives you the power to Go Back in Time® and switch payments from one card to another, after you’ve made a purchase. This can help you undo accidental payments and take more control of your cashflow. Switch debit card payments to your credit card to free up cash or maximise your credit cards rewards.

Earn 1000s of extra credit card points

Curve gives you the power to pay bills with a credit card where credit cards are not accepted. So you can collect thousands of extra credit card points every month without spending extra cash or taking out a new credit card. Just pay bills that would normally go on your debit card to bag extra rewards. You can even pay off credit cards with another credit card to earn double rewards.

Curve Fronted transactions free up to £3000/rolling 30 days with Curve Metal. 2.5% fee thereafter

The mobile wallet you never have to open

Create Smart Rules to match certain payments to specific cards so you never have to flick through your wallet again e.g. Automatically make all groceries get charged to your joint account or all purchases over £100 to get charged to your credit card. You make the rules.

Amazing product got even better with Apple Pay

Amazing product got even better with Apple Pay. Have been using Curve since 2018 (I was one of the early adopters) and not once have I regretted signing up. I’ve used both in this country (UK) as well as many countries abroad. Every single time, the transactions have been flawless. With competitive foreign exchange rates and 0% commision, what’s not to love? The ability to swap between cards and to “go back in time” all using only one card and app is genius. With Apple Pay now up and running, there really is no reason to carry any cards with you. And as there’s no transaction limits using Apple Pay, you can spend confidently in most places that accept contactless payments for pretty much any transaction. In the past 12 months I’ve spent nearly £28K using Curve (you can check in app) and not once have I had reason to complain. Oh and the cashback that Curve offers its Curve Black customers at 3 of your chosen outlets mean that I’ve accumulated nearly £120 in the past 12 months. Brilliant brilliant product. Recommend 100%

Great when it works

This is a great idea I love that I can use one card. However HSBC took umbrage to the fact all transactions were in the same place. Not curves fault but it seriously erodes your trust. Imagine being in Tesco and it declines or in a restaurant. It was (do not honour) and hsbc also blocked my normal cards. You have to go in branch to sort out. This then happened again until HSBC apologised and said it won’t happen again. They paid £100 compensation. With Curve refunds didn’t make sense but now they have fixed this. It does bother me if you get a decline where you have to pay like a restaurant. You look like a fool. Also certain transactions get blocked because curve class it as high risk but if its me that’s initiated the transaction I should be able to press a button and then try again as I’ve personally approved it. The app seriously needs to be a universal one. It’s still iPhone only and doesn’t look right on an iPad. It’s really frustrating. Also the fees are all over the shop. If you withdraw £20 15 times abroad over a week and weekend there are literally 5 different ways it could pan out with fees albeit very small. Would it not be better to charge 0.5% on everything and have no cash withdrawal fees and no weekend rate it would be far simpler. Stop copying revolut.

Update: Still have no ipad app just the crappy iphone only one.

Fantastic , ignore the silly reviews

App is the online counterpart to the curve card. You can add Visa or Master cards to it to use as the underlying source of funds for the Curve card. App shows almost all transactions instantly and has a rewind feature incase you want to change the underlying card for a previously made transaction. If you were invited to the closed beta for Amex cards then those work too, essentially letting you use your Amex in places that don’t usually accept it. Those of us who were early adopters still have the beta curve rewards with cash back options on places such as Marriott, though I hear anyone who applies now will only have an introductory cashback period with select retailers.

Ignore those who are saying that the app is a scam that takes your money. These people do not seem to understand what a pre authorisation charge is. When you add a new card it will hold £1 or £2 for a short time and release this back to you a few days later at most. It will do this to each new card you attach and is common practice.
